I needed last-minute help with moving about 10 large pieces of furniture, and I was braced for a low-quality result. The actual handling of my things was first-rate, and the overall experience was good. Initially, Rafael was responsive and got back to me very quickly, and though some of our subsequent communication lagged a bit, I was catching him on-the-day-of, so it was to be expected. He texted me a quote, and promised face masks and gloves, so I accepted. Kevin from my moving team gave me an ETA as they were leaving their last job, and that arrived were delayed by the previous job going long, and took the responsibility, and apologized, but I chalk it up to the difficulties of squeezing in one more job into a long day. As I said above, Kevin and Jamel handled my things with care and professionalism, and worked hard and smart at the end of an already full day. They exhibited an attention to detail that would have been noteworthy at 8am, but was nearly heroic at 8pm. There were a few struggles with the logistics of invoicing and the amount of the bill, but in the end, they did the work, and I paid the amount agreed and tipped generously to offset the late-hour add. I have another move coming up, and I will give Action Movers the first crack at the quote, and I will request Kevin and Jamel.

Bad experience with this company! I hired them because they claimed to be piano moving specialists. They damaged the piano and my house, leaving deep ruts in wood floors, breaking a piece of the piano and not mentioning it (or leaving the broken piece). The owner claimed he would come see the damage and “make it right”, but didn’t show up. Hire someone else.
